Last week we heard from Doris Downing of the Cancer Wellness Center, one of our grant recipients. In order to address both the physical and emotional components of distress, the Cancer Wellness Center provides evidence-based programs and services designed to educate participants, develop their coping strategies, and strengthen their support network. We heard moving testimonials from people who have been helped by this center.
Thursday's meeting is in-person at Continental and a zoom meeting at 12:15. Please see Brett's email for the Zoom link. Our speaker will be Anne Kiwala, who will talk about SLSF, one of our grant recipients, and will give her classification speech since she is one of our new members.
