Last week our speaker was Dave Mareno from Erie HealthReach Waukegan Health Center who told us about the services that they offer to an expanding clientele. The health center provides a full spectrum of services with strong hospital partnerships. Only 57% of Erie's budget comes from insurance payments and self-pay patient revenue and the gap must be filled by public and private sources, including individual philanthropic support.
We will be selling tickets at the meetings for the fundraiser for the Rotary District 6440 HealthRay Project on November 3, at 6:30 at Pinstripes at 1150 Willow Rd, Northbrook. The cost is $55 for a light dinner and bocce. There will be a cash bar. If you cannot purchase tickets at the meeting, please contact Ryan at rrisinger@bgparks.org.
We will welcome Steve Dudenhoefer, the founder of Ak’ Tenamit, and Graciela Coy, the president of Ak’ Tenamit, at a celebratory dinner on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at Continental Restaurant.
The dinner is a fundraiser for Ak' Tenamit. We are inviting all Ak' Tenamit project alumni, as well as family, friends and other Rotarians. Steve and Graciela will give a presentation about Ak' Tenamit. There will have a 50/50 raffle, as well as a drawings for a variety of Guatemalan handicrafts.
