Last week Scholarship Committee Chair Jing introduced our current scholarship recipients, Wade from Stevenson High School and Lucio from Wheeling High School.  Wade, a frequent volunteer at Ak-Tenamit in Guatemala and winner of our Service Above Self scholarship, will be studying finance at Marquette University.  Lucio, the recipient of the vocational scholarship sponsored by our club and the Wheeling Club, will be pursuing a degree in Criminal Justice to become a police officer at National Lewis University.  Three past recipients of our scholarships, Victoria, Maya and Vivi also attended our meeting and gave us very inspirational talks about what they are doing at their perspective universities.  Two emails from past receipients Ellie and Stone were also read and we were all equally impressed with what these very motivated and giving students are doing. 

Also, Past President Brian performed the last duty of his Presidency year by honoring Tim with the Distinguished New Member Award for all he does behind the scenes to promote our club.  Congratulations and well deserved Tim!
