Last week ten members of the Wheeling Club joined us for our meeting and it was great talking with them. Pete did an unusual FunNFrolics where people purchased red hard-boiled eggs to crack up against someone else's hard boiled egg. The person whose egg did not crack was the winner, and this continued until all eggs had been challenged. Rob was the winner! Martha requested a solo happy birthday song from Stephen, and it was just as painful as our group sing. We heard from Assistant State’s Attorney Kyle Doyle, coordinator Jenifer Couty and an investigator who all work with the Lake County Human Trafficking Task Force. This task force is directed by the Lake County State’s Attorney’s office and is a collaboration between prosecutors, law enforcement agencies, and victim service providers. It is funded by the Department of Justice grant to the Lake County State’s Attorney’s Office and victim services organization A Safe Place. It works in partnership with the Lake County Coalition Against Human Trafficking to connect investigators, prosecutors, victim service providers, and the community in a joint mission to end trafficking in Lake County. Thank you to our speakers and all they do.
