Last Week's Meeting
Last week we heard from new member Dan Davis, the co-owner/office manager of Weed Man Lawn Care who told us about his background and reason for joining Rotary.  We are glad to have you as a member of our club Dan!
Nina, our returnee exchange student who spent a year in Colombia, presented her host club's banner to President Ryan
Our current inbound exchange student from Brazil, Gabriel, gave his "Gabriel moment" at our meeting.

Outreach Committee News
Lisa held the first meeting of the Outreach Committee that  many club members attended where they voiced their ideas for what they would like to see the club do with hands-on projects.  The club members will be researching their ideas and meeting again in a month.

For the first project that is already organized and is sponsored by the Village and SWANCC, our members can help volunteer at an Electronic Recycling and Document Shredding event:
Saturday, September 16
Parking Lot Behind Banner Plumbing
151 Hastings Rd., Buffalo Grove
8:30 am-noon

Please notify Lisa if you are able to help out at this event with traffic control and loading items that are being collected.  ldsiwek@comcast.net
Rotary Duck Road Show - Sign Up!!
Below you will find a link to a document that shows who has signed up so far for the Rotary Duck Road Show – by clicking on it you too can sign up and it will be immediately updated to reflect it. PLEASE pick a location that works for you if you already haven’t, and do put down a planned date you plan to visit. It’s always a good idea to reach out to the club through their websites (just Google the name and it should pop up right away) to let them know you are going to be visiting.

Thanks so much!
Melanie
