Buffalo Grove Rotary has confirmed responsibilities every Thursday morning in July for Kingswood Food Pantry Pick up at Sunset Foods.
The routine is to call Sunset Foods Bakery at 8:00 a.m.on Thursday morning (1-847-478-0217). If they have products to donate, they will need to be picked up by 8:30 a.m. and taken to Kingswood Food Pantry for the clients that will be picking up food at 9:00 a.m.
Here is the schedule of dates and opportunities:
Please contact Pam at 630-631-1454 or pkibbons@att.net if you are available to assist.
Our club has participated every year since the Green Fair was started by the BG Park District's Environmental Action Team four years ago. This year it will be held on Sunday morning on June 28 near the Farmers Market in Mike Rylko Community Park, 951 McHenry Road. This is a great opportunity for us to highlight our project in Guatemala for solar lights and generally get our name out (the Lions Club, the only other service club in BG, is always there).
Please see Adriane if you are able to help out that morning, if only for an hour or two. Thanks!
If you are wanting to recycle what you have around the house, here is the list:
The fair will be collecting the following items for proper recycling or repurposing:
Small electronics (see website for full list), Bicycles and bike parts, Eyeglasses and hearing aids, Keys, Shoes (all types), Crayons (any condition), Books, Clothing and linens, Household batteries, CFL Light bulbsCDs, DVDs and game disks, Used knives, scissors and other blades.
Visit bgeat.org for a complete list of exhibits and activities.
