Have FUN in FEBRUARY and raise money for polio eradication--a WIN-WIN!
5000 golfers playing 3000 courses in 50 countries to raise $750,000 to eradicate Polio.
Want to be a part of that? In Illinois? In FEBRUARY?
This message from PDG Lyle Staab and DGND Thor Davidson:
We’ve have partnered with X-Golf, a chain of upscale golf simulators with locations across the District - Downers Grove, Glenview, Libertyville, Schaumburg, Geneva, and Algonquin.
We'll all be playing the back nine of Pebble Beach Golf Links, unanimously rated the #1 public course in the US. You choose to play as an individual, or as a member of a scramble team. Tell us who you want to play with, or we'll assign you to a group. There will be (small) prizes for the best individual score for women and men, and for the best scramble score.
You decide which location you want to play at and tell us your preferred time (daytime or evening during the week, or weekend) between February 14-20th. We'll work with the X-Golf location to schedule your group.
The cost? $100 gets you nine holes on the simulator, a memento, and provides a $50 donation (credited to you and your club) to PolioPlus. This event is open to your non-Rotarian friends and family. They can request a tax receipt for their donation; but if they don’t want one, we’ll credit you. Food and drink will be available for purchase. Expect your round to take between two and three hours.
Registration deadline (which we're somewhat flexible on) is Wednesday, February 9th.
