Police Officer of the Year Presentation
President Dane presented the Police of Officer of the Year Award at the Village Board meeting on Monday to retired Officer James Harris.  Jim is well known for enforcing truck regulations and keeping our roads safe. Jim has proven himself a capable leader in the truck industry in Illinois and is considered the expert of his field. Jim spent 32 years in service to the Village after retiring a few weeks ago. Over the years, he has earned numerous letters of commendation and honorable mentions, as well as receiving the Police Officer of the Year Award in 2002.  In recognition of this award, the Rotary Club of Buffalo Grove will contribute $500 in Jim's name, $250 to the Rotary International Foundation, and the remaining $250 to a charity of his choosing. Jim has chosen Special Olympics of Illinois for his designated funds. Thank you to those Rotarians who attended the meeting.
