Last week Janet Gibson, general manager of the Genesee Theatre in Waukegan, gave us a history of the historic theatre. The theatre opened its doors on December 25, 1927 and has gone through many changes. Today, the Historic Genesee Theatre is thriving with its movies, country, classical, ballet, comedy, operatic, and children's performances. This regional theatre bridges Chicago and Milwaukee, serving all of Lake County. Thank you Janet for your time!
