Last week our speaker was Zbig Skiba whose topic was - Can Climate Tech save the Planet and Grow the Economy? Zbig is a member of the Evanston Lighthouse Rotary Club and is passionate about the role of business in addressing the climate and environmental emergencies. Thank you Zbig for your informative talk!
Members of our club, and some of their family members, participated in the Special Olympics bowling fundraiser sponsored by the Buffalo Grove Police Department at Bowlero that was lots of fun for a great cause.
Thanks to our club members who came out to volunteer at the Green Fair on Sunday that is sponsored by the BG Environmental Action Team, a volunteer group of the BG Park District. It was an event featuring information about environmental issues pertinent to our community and we collected items for recycling - batteries, ink toners, working musical instruments that we will donate to School District 21 and plastic bread tags that will be given to Danielle Cares for Chairs to be recycled and the funds donated to their cause.
