Club Meetings on 3/19 and 3/26 Canceled
From President Bill:   No Rotary Lunch Meetings Thursday, 3/19 and Thursday, 3/26, however, there is a Board Meeting at Bill's Edward Jones office Thursday, 3/19 @ 1:30 pm.
Last Week's Meeting
Last week our speakers were Allen Beckwith and Kieran Moran who told us about Crescendo for a Cause, a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization in Adlai E. Stevenson High School with one mission in mind: to improve music education in underserved areas and to utilize music performance as a vehicle for advocacy and community service.  They donate instruments and hold instrument drives that benefit underprivileged communities and they explained that music has become one of the fastest-growing and most creative forms of therapy. In order to spread the joys of music and enhance the quality of life of audiences, they perform at local assisted living facilities and juvenile detention centers.  As members of the Stevenson Band, they promote the values of comradery and togetherness. With the ensemble being home to numerous musicians impacted directly or indirectly by cancer, the organization aims to spread awareness for pediatric cancer, and raise money to enrich the lives of young cancer victims.  Very dedicated young people!
