Last week Tom gave his Member Moments, trying to outdo Eric's Moments, Stephen requested that Bill Donahue sing a solo Happy Birthday song to him, we had several wonderful visitors with us, Tom and Dan S. both received multipe Paul Harrris Awards, and we heard from both Shannon and Santosh about their experience on their first trip to Ak' Tenamit. They both talked about how much the experience meant to them and how impressed they were with the school, the students, and what had been accomplished by the volunteers and the students working together. Thank you for sharing these heart-warming stories.

Dennis has requested that we have 100% participation in the golf outing. Auction prizes, golfers, sponsorships, etc. or he will be talking to his “FRIENDS “.
Our club committee of Martha, Juliet and Cass are meeting with members of the Arlington Heights Club (the lead club), and the Palatine and River Cities Clubs to plan our walk on October 24, 2026 at 10 am when Rotarians from Zones 25b & 29 will be participating in the World's Largest Polio Walk. District 6440 is encouraging us to be a part of this event with 22 other districts across 13 states and two countries. This will be a fun comunity walk at Lake Arlington to raise awareness of Rotary's End Polio Now campaign and to fundraise for it.
Stephen and Dan are excited to announce the dates for the next Ak’ Tenamit project: The trip will be Saturday, February 20 through Tuesday, March 2, 2027.
Buffalo Grove Rotarians (and family members) will have priority until May 31, 2026. After that, space will be filled on a first-come first-served basis.
BG Rotarians making their first trip to Ak’ Tenamit are eligible for a club subsidy of up to $1500. Please contact Stephen or Dan to reserve your spot!
