Last Week's Meeting
Last week our speakers were Lisa Hartman-Stackhouse and her associate who volunteer to train dogs.  Lisa explained the differences between the common pet, the trained comfort dogs and the trained service dogs.  Dan Wolf demonstrated how much he loves dogs and it was mutual!
Chantel and Kyle, our two outbound exchange students from two years ago, visited us
We are always happy to have our past exchange students visit us and tell us what they are up to.  Chantel, an outbound to Brazil,  and Kyle, an outbound to Taiwan, are sophomores at the University of Utah.  Chantel recently received a full scholarship to continue her major in Portuguese.

Denny Snyder has called a meeting of those who are interested in being on the Holiday Baskets Committee for 11:15 at Lou's before our September 7th meeting.  All are invited.

Outreach Committee News
Lisa held the first meeting of the Outreach Committee that  many club members attended where they voiced their ideas for what they would like to see the club do with hands-on projects.  The club members will be researching their ideas and meeting again in a month.
 
For the first project that is already organized and is sponsored by the Village and SWANCC, our members can help volunteer at an Electronic Recycling and Document Shredding event:
