Mary Jo Reid, age 90, of Buffalo Grove, passed away Thursday, February 5, 2026, at her home. She was born August 4, 1935, in South Bend, Indiana to Alexander Phillip and Edith nee Mills Weihrouch. Devoted wife of the late William "Bill" Reid. Loving mother of Beth (Rick Caral) Reid, the late David B. Reid, and the late Douglas B. (Charla) Reid. Adoring grandmother of Samuel (Tessa) Reid and David (Rachel) Reid. Caring great-grandmother of William and Charlotte Reid.
The funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at Kingswood United Methodist Church, 401 W. Dundee Road, Buffalo Grove, IL 60089. Interment will be in Wheeling Township Cemetery, Arlington Heights, IL. In lieu of flowers donations to Kingswood United Methodist Church are greatly appreciated.
Last Week was our monthly Business Meeting. Juliet and group were back from Guatemala and at the meeting. Dan and Steven announced that Guatemala next trip will be Jan/Feb 2027.
Tara provided the fun n frolics with Super Bowl half time performances and commercials as the topics. Deb Smith gave her member moment.
Jason said we have 6 RYLA scholarships available to Buffalo Grove Students. Jason also said Bo has the tentative dates for Spring Fling April 12th and Bowling with Buddies October 29th.
Martha sent a picture from Christchurch Rotary in New Zealand where she received their flag.
Martha also said the National Night out will be August 4th, Document Destruction in BG September 12, and the Green Fair September 20th.
Eric Smith said Mary Jo Reid passed away this week. She was the wife of Bill Reid of the Annual Bill Reid award.
