Last week our club awarded Anna Sklipstein an $1,000 academic scholarship. Congratulations to her! Also, our newer member Amanda Burton gave her classification speech. Welcome Amanda, we are happy to have you in our club!
Please click here for information on how to fill out the duck raffle ticket that we are all successfully selling.
1. The big push is on! We are at 50% of our fundraising goal for the Duck Race. We need everyone to keep selling ducks (minimum $100 per member, if possible). We have an internal Club contest in which everyone has an opportunity to win if they are one of the most improved sellers, top sellers, and / or one of the most active sellers. Members can get involved by selling duck tickets at other Rotary Clubs, selling tickets at our Rotary booth during BG Days, selling ducks outside of Culver's or Sunset Foods, or securing corporate sponsorships. We will have sign-up sheets for the Rotary Booth and Clubs at Thursday's meeting.
2. We are also asking members to turn in duck donations at every meeting to Adriane Johnson, Judy Kristan, or Bill Donahue.
3. Please also thank everyone for participating in this important fundraiser for the Club. The Duck Race is one of our major fundraisers, and we are so pleased with the energy and enthusiasm of our members.
From Tom Kloepfer, the Placemat Master:
A reminder that all business cards must be in my hands by the end of our meeting this Thursday. If there are no changes from last year, nothing needs to be done. We'll run with last years business card. So new members need to give me their business card(s), and old members with any changes need to give me their new card(s).
Also, Zimmermann True Value is now Zimmermann Ace. Who in our club has the connection with Zimmermann? We need a commitment from them that they want to be on the placemat again this year, as well as a new business card showing the change over to Ace.
From Ryan, the Bingo Master:
We are still looking for Game Sponsors and Door Prizes. Door prizes should have value of at least $10 or more.
Martha and her husband Jeff and daughter Claire want to thank the Rotary Club so much for the wonderful sign that greeted them on their return home from Indianapolis where they had been hospitalized after a car accident. We also received a lovely basket of food and fun things from the club!! We really appreciate all the good wishes and prayers that came our way, and will help us immensely in our recovery. Thank you again.
