DESCRIPTION:Family Literacy Nights are hosted with District 21 schools to w
 elcome students and their families to ITPLD. Families engage in a variety 
 of activities: signing up for library cards\, listening to Storytimes led 
 by teachers from their school\, participating in STEAM activities\, making
  crafts\, and completing a scavenger hunt. Thanks to generous sponsorship 
 from the Buffalo Grove Rotary and the ITPLD Foundation\, students select a
  free book to take home. These books include titles in English as well as 
 other languages\, reflecting the needs of the English Language Learner pop
 ulation at each school.  Rotarians are needed to help staff the book give
 away table and possibly other tasks for the evening.
