Lisa Doyle our youth exchange student will be traveling to Finland. 

We will not be having a February Random Rotary. In place of the Random Rotary we will be partaking in the McDonald's Event on Tuesday February 18, 2020.

Plans are under way for the Clubs 40th Anniversary Dinner and for the upcoming Installation Dinner for our future President Ray Deyne. If you would like to serve on this committee please reach out to Ray Deyne.  

The Interact Club Meeting was scheduled for February, 7, 2020 at 11:15 a.m. at Bartlett Highschool.  They now have a President, President Elect, Treasurer, and a 4 person committee for the memorial garden. Mentioned the Rotary Clock Plaque. They will discuss and get back to us on it. They also talked about RYLA. We picked up a 4th RYLA student and there may be others. After 4 the district will find clubs to pay for them. 

McDonald House Event with Carol Stream Rotary Club will be held on Tuesday February 18, 2020. Donna is the Chair Person working with the Chair Person from Carol Stream. Serving Dinner for shifts. 3pm to 5pm they need 5 volunteers and 5pm to 7pm 5 volunteers needed. If you would like to help out please reach out to Donna.  This will be in place of our February Random Rotary. 

So far, Karolyn, Ralph, and Mike M are attending. We hope to get more people to join us! 

 We have discovered that the Bartlett Chamber is not able to assist with ‘getting the word out’ with our clock project.  Rotary Club members have committed to 24 of 50 available donor slots and two additional community members have come forward to request a spot.  Consequently, we only have 24 remaining spots available (6 at $1,000 and 18 at $250).  With so few spots available, we are asking our Rotary members to share the attached letter with one or two (or more) Bartlett community members, businesses, or organizations you think might be interested in a spot.  We will reserve donor slots on first come, first serve basis.
 
The goal is to confirm donors for all 50 spots by the end of February.  Please let me know if I can provide any additional information.

 

The clock company will handle the maintenance for the 1st 3 years, after that the Village signed a resolution stating that they will take over the maintenance for the future.
