Hustle up the Hancock is scheduled for Sunday, February 24, 2018. Registration opened on 11/1/18. As of 11/3/18 55 people have signed up. $155 registration and donation to American Lung Force to be paid when you register. $100 then needs to be given to the Bartlett Rotary Club.
If you plan on participating in the Hustle, if you can, please try and get signed up as soon as you can. It is unpredictable when the event will fill up and registration will close. In the past, it has sold out some years in a matter of hours……..other years it takes about a week. I don’t want to miss out on getting you signed up. Remember when you sign up, go to:

Then “join a team” and search and click on Bartlett Fire. Please remember to just pay the fee of $155, do not do your Rotary donation through the registration site. The Rotary donation is 100% separate from the event.
Rotarian Ring Day, Saturday, December 8, 2018 -We committed to do the Rotary Ring Day for Salvation Army. Bartlett sites are Jewel and Walgreens. Saturday, December 8. Grab a fellow Rotary Member and be a team. We are competing against other area Rotary Clubs to see who can raise the most in the kettle.
The Salvation Army already has a website set up to register to Ring the Bells. The site is https://www.registertoring.com. You may type in your town and then do a search. Our group name is Bartlett Rotary and it will take your right to our location and shifts. I have reserved the shifts at Jewel simply select your shift preference and fill out your information under “add member” and they will send you a reminder. Please include the name of your Club when registering to ring so we may more easily track donations. IF you have problems registering please let Paula know.
Guest Speaker Darrel Malcom representing Rotarians Against Hunger in conjunction with Kids Against Hunger. The event joins together several rotary clubs (Carol Stream, Bloomingdale/Roselle, Lisle to pack meals for victims of Hurricane Florence and Nicaragua. The event is Saturday, November 10 in the warehouse behind BMO Harris Drive In Bank located at 400 E. Irving Park Drive in Roselle. The times are 8:30 -10:30 and 11-1 and 2-4. We have roughly $18,000 in the special project fund. No set amount of money has been defined. Proposals can be submitted for up to $18,000 or the club can decide on a bigger project to continue to raise money towards. Hustle Up the Hancock is fleeting. There may be a chance that it will no longer be a viable fundraiser for the club. Club members need to decide on a new fundraiser and get serious about implementing a new event. Chief Falese will have forms for project submissions at the next Rotary meeting. The committee recommendation includes the following: Project should have high visibility so that we can used it to help grow our membership, Project should have a local impact. A small group should be formed to research different fundraising events that we can implement in the near future.

The Bartlett Public Library has asked the Bartlett Rotary Club to once again partner with them to host the annual literacy night on Thursday November 15, 2018. The $500 donation for the partnership will be used to purchase new books for each of the attendees and also provide some light snacks. Rotarian's are invited to be guest readers.
