About BRC (BARRINGTON ROTARY CLUB)

The Barrington Breakfast Rotary Club (BBRC), was formed in 1988 by members from the existing Rotary Club of Barrington (Noon)

Both Clubs were made up of a diverse group of professionals living and/or working in the greater Barrington area who are united in our commitment to provide humanitarian service.

In the fall of 2023 the Barrington Breakfast Rotary Club and the (Noon) Rotary Club merged back together to reform The Barrington Rotary Club.

Our Mission is to:

  • Contribute to life enrichment programs for people of all ages
  • Support community life-saving projects
  • Promote connectivity and enhanced interaction within the community

Club members enjoy providing service to others through "hands on" projects as well as through grant funding to charities. We plan our activities based on community and international need and 100% of the money our foundation raises is donated to charity.

Local projects and grants include:

  • Community events
  • Educational programs, tutoring, and athletic equipment for children
  • Services for at-risk youth
  • Recognition of youth leaders
  • Youth and adult study abroad
  • College scholarships
  • Food, clothing and books to families in need
  • Literacy and career transition programs for adults
  • Microloans for entrepreneurs
  • Services for seniors

International projects and grants include:

  • Water purification and nutrition systems
  • Vocational equipment
  • Emergency shelter for disaster victims
  • Immunizations for children
