Guest speaker - Trudy Wehren
Trudy Wehren chose to give an “unclassification” talk! In a fascinating description of her upbringing and pioneering spirit she epitomizes the “
work hard for everything in life you want” mantra. Always on the move and looking for new challenges, she drove through school; joined
Eastman Kodak in a never ending series of fascinating, once in a lifetime opportunities including a role in the
1964-65 World’ Fair. She was often handling confidential financial and proprietary information, moving from Rochester, New York to Colorado, and on to San Diego and then LA and Palm Springs. And, from administrative to payroll to sales and customer service. She chose early retirement returning to the Chicago area and work at
Willow Creek Church as a point person for non-cash donation liquidations. And then off to lead
USA-wide tours, 100 days on the road for 8 years…and loving it! All the while she was guided by the view that her actions were either driven to address a problem OR driven to make a vision reality. Per Trudy, “…life is great!”
