Greetings Fellow Rotarians,

Congratulations and thank you to so very many members who participated in activities this weekend at Art in the Barn and at our local chapter Lyric Opera event.
Great fun and fellowship was experienced and the visibility regarding Rotary, and our Club, was significantly enhanced. Thank you all for your time and talents in bringing this to pass and to Pat Hogan for her fine organizational skills.
For those who missed the excellent Lyric event, another professional musical event is being planned for the Spring by our local Lyric chapter. Their board president and other board members stated they were very pleased with our partnership and will likely look to us to partner with them again in the Spring. So you will probably have another opportunity to enjoy a close and intimate musical experience.
And thanks to Jack and our Public Image committee for a great job with our website promotion - our very first paperless event!!!!
Also thanks to Randall and Connie for their most generous sponsorship of this event on our behalf.  Thank you and thank you again.

Our speaker this week will be Richard Kick from R.I. He is looking forward to a dialogue and interactive program with all of you.  Suzanne and I will be at Zone, so please welcome Steve to the podium - I know he does not need any practice!  Thank you Steve!

Narayan will also be at Zone as a speaker. I would encourage all of you to visit the District 6440 website and note that our club has many featured articles.
Under News is Narayan's article on Improving Health and Education for Guatemalan children through WASH.
Under Stories is the same article, plus Ian Riseley's visit to our Club in October of 2017; Suzanne participating with RILEE at the Evanston 4th of July Parade with their members and RI President Barry Rassin; a challenge grant story by Narayan; and a WASH story by our International Committee members. What an accomplishment for one Club!!!
Thank you to Narayan, our International Committee, and Mary Holcomb as the Chair.
And thanks to everyone for participating in Club activities.

Respectfully Yours in Rotary,

   Mark S. Gibson
