We are a ShelterBox Hero Club
HERO Clubs enable ShelterBox to have the resources and time to be ready when disaster strikes by allowing ShelterBox to purchase and pre-position aid in or near countries where they respond often, resulting in a more efficient and timely response. We earned this recognition for our financial support of ShelterBox in Rotary year 20-21.
Speaking of the Santa Run....
We need everyone to help out with our biggest fundraiser which will take place on December 4th this year. Rick Koebernick and Krista Evans are currently lining up sponsors. Thank you to DKMO who has stepped up again this year, and Get Burbed who is joining us as a new sponsor. If you are interested or know of someone that might be interested in sponsoring, please contact Rick or Krista.
If sponsorship isn't your thing, there are lots of other opportunities coming up to help publicize and promote the Santa Run: The Arlington Heights Farmers Market (10/2), Harmony Fest (10/1 &2), and Trunk or Treat. Save the dates and stay tuned for more details.
Thoughts on Labor Day and Rotary
We hope everyone had a safe and relaxing Labor Day Weekend. At last week's meeting, Finemaster Marc Poulos shared some thoughts on Rotary and Labor Day from the Rotary Club of Hamilton. If you missed them, it is worth taking a couple of minutes to view them now. Thoughts on Rotary and Labor Day.
Arlington Heights is Going Green
The speakers at last week's meeting were Rob and Aleks from the Village's Forestry unit. They gave an overview of their unit, what it does, and reviewed the Village's Green initiatives. If you missed the presentation, you can see it here.
