Thursday May, 27 Crawford Farewell Party
The Farewell Party for Diane and Ron Crawford was well-attended. Tributes to Diane and Ron came not only from our club members but from Mayor Tom Hayes who read a heartwarming Proclamation declaring May 27, 2021 as Diane and Ron Crawford day in Arlington Heights listing many of the things the two of them have been involved with in their many years in town.  Also, Steve Dudenhoefer, founder and headmaster of Ak'Tenamit joined us via Zoom to share his comments and thanks for all the things Diane and Ron have done for the school and its students. Karen Baker read a very touching letter written to Diane by a staff member at POC in Palatine.
The quality of the recording is less than perfect, but we share it here for those of you unable to attend in person.

District Conference this Week
This year's District Conference is virtual with meetings that began this morning and run through Saturday morning.  There is one link to all sessions. The schedule and Zoom link can be found here.
This will be the easiest DC to attend since all sessions are no longer than one hour and you can do it all from the comfort of your home or office.

Our Club Visioning is Next Week
Every member of our club has been asked to participate in one way or another. All of us were asked to respond to a Survey Monkey questionaire about the health and vibrancy of our club. You should have received an email requesting your input on Monday, May 31.  It should only take about 10 minutes to complete.  If you can't find the email, use this link.  Please take the time to complete it no later than Friday, June 4.

Club Meeting Thursday, June 3
will be hybrid. The speaker will be Betsy Kmiecik presenting on the District's policy on Preventing and Addressing Harassment within Rotary.

2022 Installation Dinner
The date is set, details still being worked on. Mark your calendars for an in-person Installation Dinner Thursday evening June 24. More to follow

Golf, Did Someone Say Golf?
The Arlington Heights Youth Athletic Association is holding it's first ever golf outing. It will be Friday, June 11 at Arlington Lakes. Go to AHYAA.org for info.  Many of us had children invovled in AHYAA sports in the past. Here's a way to help out today's youth athletes.

Community Drive- Thru Book Drive with Bernie's Book Bank and School Distrct 25 will be held Friday, June 18 from 10:00am-2:00pm at Ivy Hill Elementary School in AH.  Watch for details.
