Highlights of our 5/13 Meeting

Thursday, May 13 our program speaker was John Kent, our Youth Services Chair. If you missed the presentation, you can watch it here.

The District Visioning process will begin this Thursday, May 20 at our hybrid meeting. Full Visioning will happen in June.
If you plan to attend in person this Thursday and have not yet registered, you can do so here.
After several attempts to schedule the District Visioning process for our club going back to March 2020, we are finally scheduled! At our regular club meeting on May 20, Past District Governor, Mike Erickson, the District Visioning Chair will join us as our program speaker to explain the goal of Visioning and the process.  On Monday, June 7 and Thursday, June 10 from 6:00-8:30pm both evenings we will participate as a group in the Visioning process. Both those evening sessions will be via Zoom. This process will determine the direction our club proceeds in a number of areas. If at all possible, please clear your busy calendars so you can participate in this process.

Crawford Farewell Party
Registration is still open for the party to wish Ron and Diane well as they move to the Indianapolis area. The party is set for Thursday, May 27 from 5:00-8:00pm. If you have not already registered, use this link to take you to the invitation.

A serendipitous dinner gathering!
On Saturday, May 15 the Niemann's and Kmiecik's planned to meet for dinner at Moretti's.   Kris and Larry happened to meet our honorary member, Bill Borst and his lovely wife, Ann, in the parking lot on their way into the restaurant. Our reservation for four was quickly changed to six and we had a lovely evening catching up with them.  You newer members may not know that during the years when attendance at Rotary was carefully tracked, Bill Borst had perfect attendance for about 40 years.
Bill and Ann moved to The Moorings about three years ago. They are both very busy - Bill is VP of the Residents' Council, on the By-laws Committee, the Welcoming Commitee, and the Employee Appreciation Fund, which, by the way, raised $260,000 for tips for staff. Ann is on the Welcoming Committee, the Spiritual Life Commitee, and the Memorial Gifts Committee. She plays bridge and they are both in the Moorings choir.  I would call that an ACTIVE retirement!
