August 24, 2026.  In addition to our regular monthly purchases of eggs and cheese, we have added a monthly “big shop” to purchase items off of the most-wanted list of the Wheeling Township Food Pantry.  In the month of August we purchased a grand total of 734 items including 120 dozen eggs, 120 packages of cheese, 48 jars of peanut butter, 192 cans of fruit, 48 cans of tuna, 48 cans of Spam, 48 cans of salmon, 50 cans of sardines, 40 boxes of Rice a Roni, and 20 boxes of mashed/scalloped potatoes.  Thanks to the egg and cheese shoppers, and to this month's “big shop” shoppers, Erica and Amanda (shown above with a small portion of their purchases.)
