Hi, everyone --
I have an update for you on service project opportunities that you may wish to participate in.
Please note the added event on Sunday April 6th!
Sunday, March 30 - We will be serving a meal at A Just Harvestshelter in Rogers Park. To participate in this, please reach out to Ross Mathee who does a fantastic job coordinating these fifth Sunday service events. You can email Ross at rmathee@wintrust.com
Sunday, April 6 - The Village of Skokie is looking for volunteers for its Spring Greening event at Old Orchard Mall, helping to organize recycling of electronics, paint, batteries, and much more. Volunteers are welcome in two time slots:
8:45 am - Noon (I plan to be there during this morning one!)
11:30 am - 2:45 pm

Friday, April 11 - We will gather at 3:00 p.m. at the Dunkin Donuts at Main St. & Skokie Blvd. to spend no more than an hour on a Street Clean-Up, picking up litter along our adopted stretch of Main Street. This is always a nice opportunity to get outside and help beautify the neighborhood! Please let me know if you plan to attend so that I can send you the waiver required by the Village.
Saturday, May 10 - From 10:30 a.m. - Noon, we will be preparing diaper donations for families in need at Bundled Blessings, located in the First United Methodist Church, 516 Church St., Evanston. Please let me know if you plan to join us that morning.
May 17 & 18 - We will need help staffing our Rotary tent at the Festival of Cultures in Skokie on both Saturday and Sunday. Feel free to sign up for time slots HERE.
And finally, a reminder about our Trader Joe’s Food Rescueeffort. Our club is participating year-round in picking up donated food from Trader Joe’s in Evanston and delivering it to the Niles Township Food Pantry. This is a great way to help stock the food pantry while making sure that good food doesn't go to waste. Specific pick-up times are available via online sign up form HERE.
