Sandy Williams, Antonio Rice and Brian McHugh from YWCA Evanston / LoveIsRespect, were the guest speaker at the Rotary Club of Skokie Valley February 4, 2020 luncheon meeting. Loveisrespect’s purpose is to engage, educate and empower young people to prevent and end abusive relationships. Highly-trained advocates offer support, information and advocacy to young people who have questions or concerns about their dating relationships. They also provides information and support to concerned friends and family members, teachers, counselors, service providers and members of law enforcement. Loveisrespect strives to be a safe, inclusive space for young people to access information and get help in an environment that is designed specifically for them. |
