Topic: Why An Urban Farm And What It Can Do For Your Community
Wendy Aeschlimann, the President of The Talking Farm in Skokie, will present. After 18 years of practicing commercial litigation for a large law firm, Wendy now leads her own real estate development company with property interests in Chicago and Michigan. She joined The Talking Farm’s board in 2012 when the Howard Street Farm was a dream but not yet a reality. She has served as president of the organization since 2015 and currently serves as its interim Executive Director. Prior to joining The Talking Farm’s board, she voluntarily compiled a local guide of farms participating in Community Supported Agriculture (CSAs) and moderated a panel about CSAs at the Good Food Festival. She also volunteered for Working In The Schools (WITS), a one-on-one mentoring and tutoring program in the Chicago Public Schools, and the Lawyers in the Classroom program for Constitutional Rights Foundation-Chicago. Country Club Dress Code
For those joining us for lunch at the Evanston Country Club reminder that the county club has a dress code in place. As such, it is require that all members and guests wear collared shirts while on the premises.
