Program Speaker Neil King - 4-11-17
Club Member Neil King.

Neil King, as he did many times in the past, came to the rescue to fill in for our scheduled weekly guest speaker, who was not able to make it.

Neil shared his experiences of a recent trip to the Emirates, where he and his wife had the, probably once in a lifetime pleasure, of visiting beautiful sights such as: glimmering buildings, extravagant hotels, a fantastic opera house, and much more... But what really got stuck in my mind was camel racing using robots as jockeys.

New Member Induction - David Hartley
Our newest club member David L. Hartley, being nducted by Club President Max Slankard.

David is an attorney at the Keith B. Baker, LTD law firm. He may be contacted at 847-933-0200 or at dharley@keithbakerlaw.com

Welcome David!, And please, don't hesitate to ask questions about what Rotary is, and what it stands for; we are always eager to talk about club's activities and Rotary in general.

Skokie Valley Rotary Club Fund Allocation 2017
Fellow Members,

It is time again for determining the community agencies and projects to which the Skokie Valley Rotary Club Foundation will make contributions. Our guidelines indicate that funded not-for-profit agencies should serve people in the area served by the Skokie Valley Rotary Club. Preference will be given to agencies with which a Skokie Valley Rotarian is involved as a Board member or volunteer.

Applications are due by April 28. Awards will be approved by the Board of the Skokie Valley Rotary at their May meeting. Representatives of organizations awarded a grant will be asked to come to a Club meeting in June to receive their grant and speak briefly about their agency.

Please send completed applications with other documents to:

Max Slankard at 9050 Gross Point Road Skokie, IL, 60077 or email at Max.Slankard@skokie.org

The application is attached to this email and can also be downloaded at ClubRunner or by clicking at this web link Application Download
