What:
A special gathering for the Rotary Club of Skokie Valley at Rotary International Headquarters

Because other options are scarce and time-restricted, we recommend that you park in the Public Parking Evanston garage at 821 Davis Street. This is around the corner from RI Headquarters ½ block (less than a 5-minute walk). It is located in the middle of the block on Davis, a short distance north and west of RI Headquarters. Just drive in, push the button, take a ticket, and find parking. There are several levels to park on and an elevator.  Upon leaving, payment is made with your ticket and your credit card in the lobby. You can request a receipt.

Please note:
We will NOT be collecting any money at this meeting either for lunch or for the raffle. You can purchase whatever you'd like for lunch in the cafeteria, or you can even bring your lunch in if you prefer.

Here's the Agenda for our visit:
  • Please arrive early to find parking, and then meet in the lobby of Rotary International at 11:30
  • Greg and Jen will direct members down to the cafeteria to get lunch, and then we will carry our trays to the elevators and up to the third floor conference room
  • We will plan to call our meeting to order upstairs at noon
  • We will recognize the birthday week of our Club as well as the many Paul Harris Fellowes within the Rotary Club of Skokie Valley
  • At 12:30, our speaker will be John Hewko, General Secretary and CEO of Rotary International and the Rotary Foundation
  • Our lunch meeting will adjourn at 1:15
  • After lunch, Greg Franks will lead a tour of Rotary Headquarters for anyone who wishes to join in. The tour will conclude at approximately 2:00.
Please RSVP to Jen Sultz (JSultz@tpoint.org) to confirm your attendance so that we have an idea of how many members to expect.

A Message From Our President:

Skokie Valley Rotary Members,

We have another fun outdoor service project coming up soon!

On Saturday, November 18 we'll be meeting at the Niles Township garden (near the food pantry) to dig in the dirt and help with the garden planting and maintenance from 9:30 a.m. - Noon.

The garden is an important community resource and my thanks to our Niles Township Supervisor Bonnie Kahn Ognisanti for inviting us to join in the work!

Please RSVP back to me if you're interested in joining in, even just for part of the morning.

Thank you, everyone!

Jen
