Weekly Hybrid Meeting
Next meeting is April 21, 2026.  We will meet in person at Bar Siena (located in the Westfield Old Orchard Shopping Center 4999 Old Orchard Road - Skokie) from 12:00noon-1:15pm. The lunch cost is $25.00 and will cover the meal, non-alcoholic drink (coffee, iced tea, soda pop, or water), tax, and a tip. If you plan on attending, please fill out the form by the end of the day on Sunday, April 19th to ensure efficient service. The restaurant is on the SE side of the mall between Nordstroms & Maggiano's. UPDATE!  Please pre-order your lunch and pay when you arrive for your lunch using Zelle. Bring Cash or check if you can't Zelle. Send your $25 payment to skokierotary@gmail.com.   No walk-in order requests & bring cash if you can't use Zelle. Also, bring cash for the 50/50 raffle to help defer the cost of lunch for our speakers and/or guests.

A Message From Our Service Project Chair, Jennifer Sultz:
 
Rotary Club of Skokie Valley -- 
 
As I mentioned at this week's meeting, we are still in need of about 4 more volunteers for the Sat. 4/25 service project (details below). 
 
I currently have the following 4 of us signed up: Jen, Peggy, Ralph, Al Rigoni.
We just need 4 more helpers! 
 
If we cannot sign up a few more people, Rebuilding Together is suggesting that we may need to postpone.
 
If you are available to join in, may I ask that you please let me know or sign up through the online link TODAY so that I can assess whether or not a postponement will be necessary.

Home Clean Up with Rebuilding Together
Saturday, April 25, 8:00 - 11:00 a.m.
We have a new project with Rebuilding Together (some of you will remember the yard work and shed dismantling we did with this group).  Rebuilding Together is a nonprofit agency that works nationwide to make essential home repairs for community members in need. The local chapter is inviting our club to partner with them on a yard cleanup project at a private residence in Skokie. The specific address will be shared with the team closer to the date. 
What's involved:  Volunteers do not need to be skilled in construction, just able-bodied and willing to get their hands dirty as we tackle some outdoor landscaping work to clean up a Skokie property. The home is occupied but the resident is housebound and in need of assistance. Waivers will need to be signed by all participants in case of injury and so as to allow photos to be taken of the cleanup team.  Volunteers will arrive at 8:00 to get oriented with the group.  If you have them, feel free to bring rakes, shovels, gloves, etc. for yard work.  We are hoping for approximately 8 volunteers on this project.
