This week's speakers are Grant Recipients Turning Point and North Shore Center for the Performing Arts.
Club member Jennifer Sultz from Turning Point and Michael Pauken from The North Shore Center for Performing Arts will address the club. They will discuss the mission of their organizations and how the grant funds will be used.
Last week's speaker was Susan Van Dusen who spoke about her new book,The Missing Hand. Susan has been a teacher in Chicago and Jerusalem, an editorial director of WBBM Radio, and a magazine and newspaper writer. She is the author of four children’s books, three on the history of Skokie, and is a founder of “Coming Together in Skokie,” a project to bring diverse cultures together. She has lived in the Village of Skokie for 35 years with her husband George, her sons Danny, and David, his wife Diana, and their two perfect grandchildren, Anthony and Zoe. Her hobbies are playing the dulcimer, reading, and performing onstage. The Missing Hand is the first in a series of mystery cozies on the Jewish holidays.
