BOWLING FUNDRAISER at 10am

Good Afternoon Rotarians,

As many of you already know, this year we are replacing the Spring Raffle Fundraiser with a brand-new Bowling Tournament Fundraiser that will be organized by myself along with the help of some of you and my own friends in the bowling community.

Attached to this email is the official flyer for the event that will be sent out to the bowling community to attract some of the best bowlers Chicagoland has to offer. Special thanks to Lisa Edelson and some of her students at District 219 for helping with the design of the flyer!

This tournament will consist of 36 teams with 5 bowlers to a team so there will be a total of 180 bowlers competing in the event. Our official date for the event is Saturday, June 17th and it will be held at Classic Bowl in Morton Grove. The tournament will start around 10 AM and will end around 4-5 PM. I will be needing some Rotarian volunteers, but not nearly as many volunteers that was needed for the Pancake Breakfast. I will also bring some of my bowling friends in as volunteers that will be needed.

Since entries for this event are 100% paid by outside participants, there is no financial obligation to any member of the Rotary Club. However, much like the Pancake Breakfast, we are accepting event sponsorships so if you’d like to promote your business you can do so. For reference, between the bowlers, spectators, and bowling alley staff there will be at least 200-250 people at the event that are not Rotarians. Sam Eckerling will be assisting me with the sponsorships like he does every year for the Pancake Breakfast. I am very excited that so far, I already have 3 gold sponsors for this tournament!

We will also be hosting a raffle at the tournament. I will be securing some free bowling equipment from local pro shops to be raffled off, but I will be looking for other items that can be raffled as well. If you have anything you or your business would like to donate that can be raffled off, please let me know.

This event alone has 6 different streams of revenue to raise money for the club, and to raise more for the club I will also have a table set up for Barbara Meyer to be selling her Lou Malnati’s pizza coupons at the event.

If anyone has any questions or comments about this fundraiser, please let me know.

Have a great day!

Danny Ullenbrauck
