The Brazosport Rotary Club presented Junior Achievement of Brazoria County (JA) with a donation of $2,500.00, contributing to JA’s mission to empower young people in today’s global economy. This donation is one of many the Brazosport Rotary Club makes and has made since its founding in Freeport, Texas in 1953.

Junior Achievement provides programs focused on work readiness, entrepreneurship, and financial literacy. This to inspire and prepare youth to take charge of their economic futures. “The support from the Brazosport Rotary Club will enable Junior Achievement to expand its reach and provide resources to students here in Southern Brazoria County,” said Brazosport Rotary Club president Harold Nicoll. “This and efforts like it help demonstrate that Rotarians live their value of service above self.”

With Junior Achievement chapters across the nation, the organization is dedicated to equipping young people with the knowledge and skills necessary to make informed academic and economic choices. By fostering a clear understanding of how the world works, Junior Achievement guides youth in pursuing their dreams and investing in their futures. “Junior Achievement believes in the immense potential of young people,” said Kim Effenberger, of Junior Achievement. “Every day, we work to help students discover what’s possible, with hands-on learning experiences that connect classroom knowledge with real-world applications.”

In alignment with its mission, Junior Achievement strives to engage young people of diverse backgrounds, embrace innovative approaches, and teach the principles of market-based economics and sustainable entrepreneurship.
The financial support from the Brazosport Rotary Club exemplifies a strong commitment to community engagement and the belief that by working together, we can nurture the leaders of tomorrow.

“We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Brazosport Rotary Club for their partnership and support, which will undoubtedly help change the lives of young people in Brazoria County,” Effenberger concluded. “Together, we can inspire the next generation to achieve their future.”
