This is my final newsletter to you as club president. I hope you have found these bulletins helpful in keeping you informed about club activities. Serving in this capacity has been a lot of fun and a lot of work. (If anyone tells you that being president is easy, remind them of the first part of the 4-way test!) I very much look forward to serving as past president and helping Jordan and the board in any way I can as we work to serve our community and the world. Thank you for the opportunity and for putting your trust in me over the past twelve months.
I am writing this message on Monday, June 20 before I go out of town for a week. I am not certain that where I am going will have reliable internet service, so I am scheduling this to go out automatically on Monday, June 27. As of today (June 20), we are still working on getting a speaker for June 28. Regardless, we will be meeting at noon at the Lake Jackson Civic Center.
Please be sure you have signed up to serve on at least one committee next year. The sign up forms are available at the accounting table near Jackie and Barbara.
Don't forget that our club's monthly board meeting is scheduled for Thursday, June 30 at 11:45 AM at Wurst Haus. All Rotarians are invited, and new members are encouraged to attend. You can bank your attendance as a make-up!
