Last week we fed the masses at BC. That always goes so amazingly well. Our hats off to Sonny for putting that together and have it working like a well oiled machine.
This week we are fortunate to have one of our own, Brain Garrett, tell us about the world of Pawn. Let's get out and see how he does it.
District conference is this week. If you have not been getting emails about travel to New Orleans and want to ride with the crew, email me.
The District Governor Selection Committee met and interviewed candidates to serve as District Governor for D5890 in the year 2017-18. The committee selected Mr. Bill Palko, Rotary Club of Northshore, and his wife Debbie as the nomination for District Governor Nominee Designate.
Pursuant to the Rotary International Manual of Operating Procedure there will be a fifteen day period for any Rotarian to challenge this nomination. If any Rotarian has such a challenge please submit such challenge in writing to the Selection Committee Chair, Rebecca Maddux. After the waiting period, and if no challenges are brought forth, there will be a confirmation of Mr. Palko's selection to serve as District Governor in 2017-18.
Again, congratulations to Bill and Debbie for being selected to lead D5890 in the coming years.
