Join us today at the Lake Jackson Civic Center at noon as we welcome Bruce Taylor-Hille from the Brazoria County Historical Museum! We look forward to learning more about the resources the museum offers our community and the work they are doing to preserve the history of this unique part of Texas.

 

Some sad news about a long-time honorary member of our club... We learned this week that Benny Morgan passed away on September 21, 2021. The funeral is scheduled today at 1pm at St. Michael's Catholic Church. His obituary can be found by clicking this link.

 

Mark your calendars for a very special program on Tuesday, October 19 as we honor Dr. Tom Pruett and his 40 plus years of service through the Guerrero Clinic. (Plus, it is the day after his birthday!) I know the event is going to be in the evening. Hopefully, I will have more details to share in the next day or two. But we do know it is going to be a good time you will not want to miss!

 

Hopefully, you received Lucy's message about the Dictionary Sticker Party, scheduled for October 9 at 10am. More information is available if you click the link under "Upcoming Events" in this newsletter. From that link you can sign up to volunteer so that Lucy knows how people to expect.

 

The Brazosport Rotary Board will meet at Wurst Haus at 11:45 am for our monthly board meeting. Club members, especially new ones, are encouraged to attend a board meeting. We hope to see you there!
