Good morning!

 

Please join us tomorrow at noon at the Lake Jackson Civic Center for our regular weekly lunch meeting. Local historian, Chris Kneupper, will discuss the history of Fort Velasco...or, rather, the several Fort Velascos that occupied a piece of the coast we now call Surfside. I previewed some of his presentation and it is fascinating. You won't want to miss it!

 

Please don't forget to submit your nominees for the nominating committee! Jordan sent a list of members last Thursday. Check your email messages. Once you have made your selections, please forward them to our secretary, Steve Elbert at steve@haganinsurance.com. We will also bring ballots to tomorrow's meeting for those who will be there and haven't made your selections, yet. We will set the deadline at 5:00 PM on March 22, 2022.

 

 

We had a fantastic turnout this past Saturday at the Abner Jackson historical site. It was a lot of fun clearing brush and reframing interpretive signs with friends. I am sure we will have some pictures posted soon, including some of Gerald and his beautiful new tractor! It really made short work of some of the clean-up!
