David Oleson has been selected to receive a Global Grant Scholarship. Brazosport Rotary is his sponsoring club. He is a medical student at Baylor College of Medicine and is scheduled to be a member of the 2021 graduating class. David plans to attend Mahidol University in Bangkok studying towards a Masters of Arts Program in ASEAN Studies for Sustainable Development. Congratulations David!

We had a great program by decorated hero, Art Vandaveer. He opened his program in a touching way by talking about one of his heros and shared an incredible story of repatriating POWs from Hanoi. He then told of a personal account of being pulled from unseen forces. It is emotional to hear a personal account from such a well-loved member of the community. Thank you Art! 

Shannon Whitley shared the motto of her late husband, Taylor. As she said, "It is simple, yet so profound." SHOW UP, Give a flip, Repeat. SHOW UP! She encouraged us as Rotarians to SHOW UP in what we do, and thanked us for always SHOWING UP in the past. We are an incredible group with different talents that make our club one of the best. Let's all remember to SHOW up in all we do.
