This meeting is Tie Day! The Minister of Mischief, Matt Edquist, has deemed this next meeting as Tie Day. So get as creative and crazy as you would like. Wear skinny or fat or wild ones, but don't forget to wear one.
Last week we heard from out District Governor. Lisa Faith Massey did a great job laying out her vision and motivating the troops. She is doing a great job leading our District.
We need to tell David Nicks we are all in with him on the Visioning process David is chairing. If you do not know what I am talking about you are not reading your emails.
Lastly, let's remember Kim and the Effingberger family in their loss.

In 2013-14, there were District Grants funded to 40 Rotary clubs in District 5890. It is the duty of the District Audit Committee, which is comprised of me, Jackie Barmore (RC of Pasadena), and PDG Jeff Tallas (RC of Sugar Land) to review each of the District Grant Final Reports to assure that they are compliant with the terms as set forth by District 5890 and The Rotary Foundation, and to present a report to the district Rotarians by September 30.
The committee met on Wednesday, September 3, 2014 and, after accumulating more information from several clubs, we are pleased to report that all clubs that received District Grants for the 2013-14 are in compliance with the required guidelines.
District Grant Stewardship Chair Bill Davis has also informed us that the final report for District Grant #1410002, which includes all of the individual club grants, has met all of the The Rotary Foundation’s requirements, and the grant will now be closed
Thanks to all of the clubs who participated in the District Grant program in 2013-14. You have made your community and the world a better place by your generosity.
