This Week’s Guest Speaker:
Kenny Vernor
The Status of Polio Eradication
We’re excited to hear from one of our own this week! Past President and fellow Rotarian Kenny Vernor will be sharing the history of polio and an update on where things stand today in the worldwide effort to eradicate it.
Polio eradication has long been one of Rotary’s most important missions, making this a program especially meaningful to our club. Kenny has a true love of history and enjoys sharing what he learns, so we’re looking forward to an interesting and informative presentation.
Be sure to join us this week!

🌟 ROTARIAN MEMBER SPOTLIGHT 🌟
Meet Barbara Franklin!
🎓 Retired Nonprofit Executive Director & Teacher 💙 Rotarian for 24 years
Barbara may have officially joined Rotary 24 years ago, but Rotary had already been part of her life for quite a while! Her late husband served as a District Governor, and after spending about 15 years around Rotary, Barbara saw firsthand just how much good Rotarians can do — both close to home and around the world.
What does she love most about Brazosport Rotary? The people, of course! Barbara says the club is full of service-minded friends who work hard, serve together, and still know how to have a good time.
