Good evening!
This Tuesday, April 12, we will participate in Brazosport College's Career Fair. Here is some helpful information provided by organizer Sonny Miles:
- This is a "Remote" meeting for the club;
- The Career Fair hosts 1,700+ high school juniors from each area school district (Angleton ISD, Brazosport ISD, Columbia-Brazoria ISD, Sweeny ISD, Danbury ISD, Brazosport Christian School);
- Vocational Training is an Area of Focus of Rotary International;
- Arrive at 11:00 AM to help serve pizza; an email and campus map was sent to those who signed up to serve, but please contact Sonny if you did not receive that email;
- Wear your Shrimp Boil APRONS or TEE SHIRTS to help communicate Rotary's involvement;

District 5890 Conference (Journey to the Mothership of Space Exploration: NASA) will take place April 28 - May 1, 2022. Rotary International Convention will take place in Houston June 4 - 8. Also, please MARK YOUR CALENDARS for the evening of June 7! We will be co-hosting a Host Hospitality social with Angleton Rotary at The Springs Event Center in Angleton. We will not have a meeting at the Civic Center that day. Rather, we will be asking members to come a little early to help set up the event, and then to attend the event as we welcome fellow Rotarians from across the globe. More details to follow...
If your Easter weekend plans allow it, please join me at The Center for the Arts & Sciences this Saturday, April 16 at 9:00 AM to help work on the set for Brazosport Center Stages' Penguin Project production of Annie Jr. It is a fairly simple set, but we could use some help making sure this very special program is ready for its May 7 & 8 performances. Coffee and donuts abound at set build days!
