Mike and Roxanne Strobel are generous not only as Paul Harris Fellows, but they also give their time to Rotary Youth Exchange.

They will be the first host family next fall for Albert Sachse, our 2016-17 exchange student from Germany.  Hosting Albert will mark their sixth year in a row as a host family, a club record.

The whole Strobel family is involved.  Their daughter Wesley was our 2011-12 outbound student to Sweden, and their daughter Austin is our current outbound student to Italy.  Their son Skylar will be an outbound candidate for 2017-18.

Mike’s service doesn’t end with being a host dad.  He is the chairman of the District 5890 short-term youth exchange program, and beginning in July, he will become the Youth Exchange Officer of our club.

He will be assisted by a strong committee of Kenny Vernor, Diane Glenn, Lisa Pauls, Keith Frank, and Jim Pierce.  If you want to get involved in Rotary’s best program for fostering world peace and understanding, please see Mike about joining the Youth Exchange Committee.  The program relies on families who are willing to share their home for 3-4 months with a top-notch foreign student.  Please consider helping Mike by volunteering to become host parent.
