Lake Jackson, TX – May 28, 2025 – The Brazosport Rotary Club proudly recognized the 2024–2025 “Teachers of the Year” from each elementary, secondary, and specialty campus in the Brazosport Independent School District during the district’s Annual Recognition Banquet. The event, held at the Brazosport College Corporate Learning Center, celebrated the district’s most inspiring and dedicated educators for their outstanding contributions to student success. The club also welcomed the winners to their weekly meeting for lunch where the members were able to thank these outstanding education professionals in person.
Brazosport Rotary President Harold Nicoll joined BISD Superintendent and Rotarian Danny Massey on stage to present each honoree with a personalized certificate and an honorarium from the club. The resources are intended to help educators purchase classroom materials and instructional tools that are not officially funded.
“The Brazosport Rotary Club has long made education a cornerstone of its philanthropic efforts in southern Brazoria County,” said Nicoll. “An educated citizenry is essential to our collective civic, social, and commercial futures. The individuals honored this evening represent the very best of an already excellent group of educators—selfless professionals who pour themselves into their work. They live Rotary’s motto, ‘Service Above Self,’ every single day.”
Rotarians, community members, school board trustees, and district leadership were all in attendance, applauding the achievements of those who go above and beyond in the classroom. The evening served not only as a recognition of personal excellence, but also as a reminder of the enduring impact that passionate educators have on their students, their schools, and their communities.
