Polio Pig Debuts!

President Mark and Jack Puckett (pictured) debuted the "Polio Pig" at our 7/1/08 meeting.  This little guy (the Pig, not Jack) will be our mascot for fighting Polio and he (again, the Pig, not Jack) will be represent the efforts Yuma Rotary uses for collecting an additional $35 per person every year to go to the Rotary Foundation.  This money will become part of the effort to raise $100 million over 3 years to match a $100 million grant by the Gates Foundation to finally eradicate polio.  It also is in addition to the nominal $100 per year per member needed by the foundation to fund all of its non-profit programs that benefit education, health, hunger, humanity and other programs.  Help us "feed the pig" and stay tuned for more information.
