Sharon Hubler
Idaho Foundation for Parks and Lands
Sharon Hubler, current Vice President of Idaho Foundation for Parks and Lands, will be our speaker this week.

Formed in 1972, Idaho Foundation for Parks and Lands through voluntary, private means acquires, sometimes transfers, and preserves in perpetuity lands for the benefit of the citizens of Idaho.  More than 50 projects have accrued and the dynamics of landholding continue to change and create opportunities.

Sharon Hubler was Executive Director from 1976 to 2010 for this organization and continues to serve on its board as its Vice President.

Filippa Padkǣr
Rotary Youth Exchange
Her first of many firsts!
It was her "First Rodeo!"
  • 1st time as a Rotary Youth Exchange Student
  • 1st time in USA
  • 1st time in Caldwell, Idaho
  • 1st Rodeo
  • 1st time at Caldwell High School
  • 1st soccer practice

Filippa Padkǣr is our new Rotary Youth Exchange student from Denmark. She arrived late on August 15th. She was immediately put to work at our Caldwell Rotary concession booth at the Rodeo where those of us working on Saturday night got a chance to meet her. This was her first rodeo!

Mike and Tammy Dittenber are her first host family for her exchange. She is attending Caldwell High School and will be playing soccer this year.

RODEO--WE LIVED!

Whew! We lived to tell about it for another year! It was hot and heavy selling this year. The process went very well. Selling nachos, super nachos, walking tacos, chili dogs and skittles really streamlined the process and made it very successful again.

We had such good faithful volunteers. Many worked every night and others worked as they were able to volunteer. Everyone who helped is so appreciated especially our core group who worked both shifts every night. Thank you all!!! And WELL DONE!

NEXT!

ROTARY FREEDOM BREWFEST

Now we look forward our next fundraiser on September 7th, our Rotary Freedom Brewfest that will be held down at the Indian Creek Plaza. That one really puts the "Fun" in Fundraising! More news to come soon!
