This meeting is also swan song time for Dave Price. He shocked us all - delightfully so - when he started his year as “Born to be Wild.” Now he’ll share a few slides and his reflections about his term as president. Will he conjure Frank Sinatra and “My Way"? What will be his swan song?

Jul 2: Dave Mello and the RYLA Campers
Dave Mello does it every year: he manages to recruit 8 high school students to attend Camp RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Award) for nearly a week in late June. These kids complete the camp feeling empowered and some describe it as “life-changing.” This is the most powerful thing Rotary does for high school students.

Rotarians assisting at Shared Adventures' Day on the Beach!
🗓️Saturday July 11th from 10 am - 4 pm - two to three hour shifts available throughout the day
🏖️Cowell Beach, Santa Cruz
Shared Adventures organizes Day on the Beach, when more than 300 people with special needs participate in a full day of adaptive sports—kayaking, outrigger canoeing, SCUBA diving, beach wheelchair rides—and life-changing memories.
Sunrise is returning to the kayak station to help participants get into and out kayak (+ other ways to help)
Rotary Area 9 Night at Santa Cruz Shakespeare
Join in fellowship on August 5, 2026 to view a performance of Much Ado about Nothing! We will start with a potluck at reserved tables in the picnic area overlooking the Monterey Bay.
Parking options:
- Call the box office to purchase a parking pass ahead of time: $12 with a credit card
- Show up at the gate with $10 in cash
- Carpools of 4 people (or more) are free
For the potluck please arrive by 5:30 pm and bring a dish type that corresponds with the first letter of your last name. BYOB and drinks. Bring your own plates / cups / serviceware to make the meal as waste free as possible!
