Animals are an integral part of our families and neighborhoods. The Santa Cruz County Animal Shelter, as an open-intake, animal control shelter, provides animal protection & law enforcement, animal sheltering, and prevention services for the County, under a "Socially-Conscious" sheltering framework. We'll talk about what that really means, share some heart-warming stories, answer questions, and talk about all the ways folks can help and be involved.
Jun 25: Santa Cruz Metro
We will get a presentation from Corey Aldridge, Chief Executive Officer of Santa Cruz METRO. Corey will share updates on METRO services, current projects, and programs, and offer insight into the agency’s work to support transit and mobility throughout Santa Cruz County.

Treasure Cove at Jade Street Park - Grand Opening
You are all invited to a grand opening celebration on Wednesday, June 17, at 1 PM! Come celebrate two amazing projects at 4400 Jade Street: Treasure Cove, Capitola’s first Universally Accessible Playground, alongside the fully renovated Capitola Community Center. The Treasure Cove playground at Jade Street Park was the primary beneficiary of our 2024 bike ride.

Community Service Update

Sunrise members had a blast supporting LGBTQIA+ folks and marching in Santa Cruz Pride on Sunday 6/7 with 70 other organizations. It was the first time a Rotary Club had marched in the parade's 51 years! You can see more pictures on our club's Instagram page (for those on Instagram)

While there are many shifts, we have traditionally all done the Food Serving one from 3:30 - 7 (and you get a gourmet meal!)
