This week: A note from Dave Mello. Here is the info concerning Camp RYLA:
Camp RYLA for 2017 is being held at Mission Springs Conference Center and Campground on Lockhart Gulch Rd, in Scotts Valley. The camp runs from Sunday June 25th through Friday June 30th. On Thursday June 29th, at 5:30pm there is a barbecue that Rotarians are welcome to attend. It is a chance to see firsthand just what the 200 high school aged campers experience during their week at Camp RYLA. The evening starts out with a program where the campers will give a glimpse of their activities and fellowship from their week at Camp RYLA, followed by the barbecue. There is no charge for the event, however there is an opportunity to make a donation towards the cost of the dinner. On July 18th, our club program speakers will be the 3 RYLA Campers sponsored by our club: Matthew Morse, Aptos High, Matthew Blackmun, Soquel High, and Sean O’Connell, Kirby School.
