FG4K has a mission to transform the lives of kids in underserved communities through the gift of a guitar.

Aug 11, Shakespeare Santa Cruz - Rotary Night. Flyer has details. People can choose between the 2pm matinee of The Importance of being Earnest or the 8pm evening performance of Hamlet, w/ picnic from 5:00-6:45pm. (Hope people bought their tickets; this is a district-wide event).
Sep 14 is also our annual evening sail on the Chardonnay II, from 5:30-7:30pm. Cost is $75 per person. Sign-up at this link.

Club Calendar
Did you know that the club calendar can be found online on our website? I highly recommend people make it a habit of either checking the calendar online or subscribing and adding it to their own calendar on their smartphone. Sigfrid is doing an awesome job of keeping it updated, please send her any meetings or events that need to be added.
This is a google calendar so don't look at the ClubRunner app for the events - you will be sorely disappointed. Instructions on how to subscribe to the calendar are on the calendar page - it works with both iOS and Android and Windows and Mac...
On Thursday, August 8 from 4-7pm, we will have the next club social at the Aptos Vineyard tasting room located at 105c Post Office Drive in Aptos Village between Akira and Starbucks. Rob Morris will be guest pouring and has promised to donate all tips to our Club. Non-Alcoholic beverages will also be available. Come on down!

Camp Ryla Thank You Cards
On Jul 25, Dave Mello sent out copies of the thank you cards from our 10 RYLA campers. Hope people took a moment to read them, as the cards capture the students gratitude for Camp RYLA, and our club sponsorship. Pretty touching letters. And, Dave, thanks for your leadership.
Club Board Meetings - moving to Tuesdays starting in September
Starting in September, the club board meetings will move from the 4th Friday mornings to the 4th Tuesday at 4pm and relocate to Mackenzie Bar & Grill at Pasatiempo. There will likely be an all-club social starting at 5:30p, open to all. Note -The August board meeting will again be at the Boys & Girl’s Club on Friday 8/23 at 7:15a. New location and time to begin on Tue 9/24.
Not much to say this time around. I hope all is well with you and yours! And, yes, I need to get off my keester and start to make the meetings in person. Sheesh.. just so easy to do Zoom though!
